About Michelle
Michelle Marley is a 22-year-old singer-songwriter born and raised in Vancouver, B.C., Canada. Her sound, developed over 10 years of voice training, is described as rich and soulful. Drawing from the works of masters like Stevie Wonder, Joni Mitchell, and Corinne Bailey Rae, Michelle's skills span a wide range of styles including R&B, Jazz, and Electronic music.
Michelle is finishing her degree at world-renowned Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts on a scholarship. She has performed as a lead and background vocalist in Berklee productions, including the Stevie Wonder Tribute Show and Elton John Singers Showcase. Michelle's musical and academic achievements have been recognized by Berklee faculty and have earned her a place on the Dean's List. Throughout her career, Michelle has trained under professional musicians, including Angela Kelman (Juno Award Winning group: Farmer’s Daughter), and Winston Maccow (Stevie Wonder). She has performed alongside award-winning Canadian theatre composer Anton Lipovetsky in the historic East Vancouver Theatre, The Cultch, and has collaborated and performed on tracks that have garnered the attention of popular record labels. Michelle Marley landed lead and supporting roles in Theatre Hamber Productions such as Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady and Paulette in Legally Blonde The Musical. With nearly 8 years of live performance experience, Michelle Marley is sure to deliver a captivating and memorable show.
